Connection with globalization
Globalization was also very present when Darfur experienced several changes in governance. The modern period (1750-1970) brings several changes to the economic, cultural and political level. Increasingly, companies are focused on individualism because of globalization. Darfurians were reluctant to the Egyptian occupation in the 1880s. (WorldWithoutGenocide, 2011) Technologies, such as steam and railways transformed the global industry. In addition, a global pricing system is set up to be able to import and export. Increasingly is international advertising and the mass media are surfacing. Globalization causes a lot of conflict and people can now easily migrate. Then, through the purchase on credit, some economic depression caused and it leads the world wars. In 1916, during the First World War, Ali Dinar allied with the Ottoman Empire declared war on Great British. After his death, Darfur became part of the Republic of the Sudan when independence the country in 1956. After independence, Darfur served basis Umma Party, led by Sadeq al- Mahdi. In 1994, Darfur was divided into three federal states within the Republic of Sudan: Northern ( Shamal ) , South ( Janoub ) and West ( Gharb ) Darfur.
