Conclusion
Despite the adoption of a North and
South peace agreement in 2005 and a somewhat non-violent resignation of South Sudan
towards the other group in July 2011, the situation in Darfur remains the same,
which means in deterioration. A lot of violence is still present in 2014 and it takes away
even more lives and it forces people to escape their homes and leave in endless
fear.
The crisis in Darfur is a conflict that was very difficult to approach at first by the international countries. More times went by, and more international governments got involved to the conflict and tried to help them.
Politics plays a huge role in the decisions of governments and in the way a situation can be handled. Governments have to find solutions that are positive for everyone. It is very difficult to help a country that is in a middle of a crisis and which is really difficult to enter and deploy help. Even though, more and more medias are talking about this conflict since a lot of countries finally got involved in the Darfur crisis. What is clear and obvious to remind is that more united countries are, facing a catastrophe, better the international governments would be indispensable to bring the suffering of thousands and thousands of civilians to an end, and to avoid and prevent more killings and massacres like this one.
Globalization is, in my opinion, not a positive phenomenon for this kind and this sort of conflict in a country. Some countries obviously care more about their own well-being and their own economy then poor civilians who die for no reasons in other places. They are forced to leave their home, facing fears, massacres and burning villages. Globalization could have contributed positively to this crisis and could have contributed more to all the crisis and conflict that are going on in the world.
I believe that globalization could have bring so much more and it could have actually change the way countries behaved. We are supposed to have rights and freedom. Why then some countries are forced to follow the rules of a dictator that only bring wars, death and fear? Why other governments don't raise their voices?
This research made me realize how globalization can actually be something harmful for the world, more precisely for minorities and developing countries. It could have been something positive but it wasn't and it's still isn't. Globalization can hurt people more that it can do something good.
